Mini-tummy tuck

A mini-tummy tuck or mini-abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure carried out to slim the lower abdomen and waist in the case where excess skin prevents a liposuction procedure alone to achieve satisfactory results.
This intervention involves removal of excess fat from the abdominal wall, some tightening of abdominal muscles to restore tone, and trimming excess skin.
The procedure is commonly carried out under general anesthesia.
The incision is made across the waistline above the pubic area.
The resulting scar is usually very inconspicuous.
A mini-tummy tuck requires only a very short time of hospitalization (one or two days).
Wearing a compression garment (abdominal brief) in the first postoperative fortnight is recommended to ease healing and help tissues to distribute themselves harmoniously.
