Otoplasty

Otoplasty or pinnaplasty, is a procedure designed to correct abnormalities frequently associated with cases of protruding ears:

  • an excessive angle between the pinna and the skull;
  • hypertrophy of the concha (the cartilage of the rear part of the ear) which makes the pinna being thrust forward and coming off;
  • deficient antihelical fold: poorly folded antihelix flattens the pinna and results in a more accentuated feeling of the ears “sticking out”.
