Mask Lift

  • The mask-lift or subperiosteal facelift is a procedure very similar to the brow lift, both in its indications as in technique used. Effective on forehead bars and frown lines, it corrects the outer descent of the brows over the supraorbital rim, and is a good complement to aesthetic surgery of the eyelids.
  • It can be performed alone or in conjunction with a face & neck lift.
  • As the plane of dissection is deeper than in the forehead lift, the surgeon can change the obliquity of the palpebral fissures (more almond-shaped eyes), correct a “hollow-eye” look or bulging eyes, easily insert small cheek implants to highlight the cheekbone area better, and also work not only in the frontal region, but also at mid-face level (cheeks).
  • The post-operative consequences and caring are comparable to those of a brow lift.
  • When this technique is combined with standard techniques, the surgeon can obtain a dramatic and long-lasting rejuvenation.
